ANTM Cycle 16 is well underway and premiering in February, but Cycle 17 is looking for more model hopefuls-to-be, and is currently casting. The application process includes filling out a totally intrusive and mind-boggling 11-page questionnaire. We're pretty sure Jane's Princeton application was more straight-forward.

Contestants also have to include a vid no longer than three minutes that includes footage of them showing off their best runway walk. This is not another short season, so ladies under 5'7" need not apply, but producers reserve the right to make case-by-case exceptions. Translation: if you're under 5'7", you run the risk of being turned into the infamous freakishly short model of the season. Producers are looking for a dynamic group of individuals who are articulate, interesting and exhibit enthusiasm for the series as well as a willingness to share their most private thoughts in an open forum of strangers. This group of individuals, while meeting the technical requirements of the series, must also have sufficient physical, psychological and mental capacity to endure approximately two months in a monitored house under extraordinary conditions.

If selected as a participant, you must be willing to live in a house or loft located at a location and in a city as determined by producers for approximately one and a half months from May through June 2011 with approximately nine to fourteen other female strangers, where you will have little or no privacy. Economy travel to and from the production location and a major airport nearest your home will be arranged and paid for by the producers for participants to travel to the house.

If selected as a finalist you must complete a participant package that has release forms and waivers for you and your immediate family to sign. If selected for interviews, you must also submit to physical and mental examinations by medical professional in Los Angeles selected by the producers and meet all physical and psychological requirements.[endtext]
